Am I mistaken in thinking that Fleet51's 1951 car doesn't qualify for this event due to it having what appear to be late 80's Camaro aluminum wheels on it?  Or have the rules changed since last year?

HI Barchetta ; You're absolutely correct - It does have Camaro wheels on it -- Right Now !! , but will have steelies on it by then . I also believe the organizers have " another field " for the ones outside of the " Specs " -- LATER -- DON / Fleet 51

Happy to hear you are aware of the rules of this show.  I imagine it wouldn't be a pleasant experience showing up at the gate only to be told you can't park with the 'real' show cars in the ghost town.

Hope the weather is better than last year smile

(before anyone tears a strip off me for claiming the 'other lot' isn't really part of the show, I arrived at that assumption solely due to the fact that there are virtually NO pics of this 'other' parking area in pics of last years event)

No one is going to "Rip a Strip off you"…… That's right.. there were no pics of last years alternative lot. because it held a total of 4 cars. The rest were daily drivers. One being my Brother in-laws 66 GTO.( A very super fine goat. but he understood it did not fall into the criteria.)
The Alternative lot will be probably be eliminated next year….NEXT YEAR….. due to the fact we need the space. We now have a swap meet in which we need the space.Ghost town can hold about 500 cars in total. That is why we ask for pre-registration and a few photos with a description of your car.
We really feel that most understand what this show is……

thanks!

And if they don't understand…that's their problem. The NSRA was always pre 48 come hell or high water. No different here, just want traditional cars.
Here's hoping for good weather Jeff, Jay and Brandon.

I'm pretty sure the NSRA is now 30 years and older which means this year 1985 is allowed in to their shows.

They where Loosing members with pre 49 vehicles and wanted more money, so they opened up the cut off year!

Gary
The NSRA is all about money and they lost a lot of members when they decided to go to the 30 year rule. The Jam-Up is 1964, a sensible year for the style of car that they want. Maybe it's like the other thread on here about single make car shows. There will be variety but with a common styling sense.

Mr. Barchetta, if you "might be interested in seeing what the noise is all about", please don't bother as you are obviously not a real hot rodder! I'm sure you would rather go to a cruise night and look at all the new Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, and Corvettes, especially if there is no admission fee! You would probably spend $20.00 to get into Motorama [or whatever it is called this year] to get Courtney Hansen's autograph, but won't spend $25.00 to see real hot rods that have been built by their owners and driven to the Jam Up regardless of the weather!

Please don't bother looking at the pictures when they come out, you being a non-hot rod person, you just won't get it!

By the way, maybe you should let everyone on here know what kind of vehicle you do have, or don't have!

Jay, Bradon & Jeff : Thanks for organizing a "hot rod" show here in Canada. This is very similar to the Lone Star Round-Up In Austin Texas, which is a huge sucess ! The Contential Club does not care about offending anyone and neither should you fella's. This show is the first of its kind, FINALLY. I will be attending your show this year as Bonneville is cancelled and I must say, I don't care if you put me in the third lot. Hell, I never have been much of a lawn chair, power parker, billet kind of guy..... Wooooo, I will be trailering my hot rod as well, boooooo, hssssss, blah blah blah.....

The best advertisement you can have, offend the hell out of everyone ! If you have to explain it, they wouldn't understand anyways.... :)

Jeff, I'm down in Leamington for a few days on family business and won't make it to the Jam. Please give my buddy Mike (C-word) a warm welcome from me. I met him in Calgary in '07 on the tour

I wanted to thank and congratulate Jeff, Brandon, and Jay for another job WELL DONE!!! Couldn't have asked for a better turn-out, the variety of REAL HOT RODS was AMAZING!!!

98% of these cars were driven to the event, not trailered, a testament to the owners who had no fear in driving their home built hot rods considerable distances to get to the event!

5 of us [3-Model A's, 1-34 Ford Coupe, 1-32 chopped 4door Buick] drove to the Jam Up together, what a great drive along the paved backroads through scenic country!

A big Thank You to Dubya31 for allowing me the privelege of keeping Buckshott in my garage overnight on Friday.IMG_20150814_200905816.jpgIMG_20150815_104006528_HDR.jpgIMG_20150815_104056160.jpgIMG_20150815_104751127_HDR.jpgIMG_20150815_104757920.jpgIMG_20150815_104806991_HDR.jpgIMG_20150815_105555086.jpgIMG_20150815_105608896_HDR.jpg

Couldn't get a better way to spend a day than a drive through the Grey Highlands with a group of like minded Hot Rodders and having the Jalopy Jam Up as a destination. Best traditional Hot Rod and Custom Car get together. Can't wait for Jalopy Jam Up 2016. Special thanks to Woody's Burger Palace for lunch.
That new motor sounds Killer Donnie. Now you can take the block from under the go pedal. Ha Ha.

Bruce, it was just what Brandon, Jeff and Jay in visioned. The weather gave them the brake they deserved and they were rewarded with a great turn out of some super "Old School" vehicles. Yes, Donnie's 57 was awesome.
It was a fun show to be part of and a must do for next year.

Bruce (Model A)

I must apologize. When we met and you introduced yourself, with my hearing aids and the band playing so loud, I heard Bruce and thought Model A but didn't connect until you were walking away and then it hit me and I turned to Sherwood and asked "was that Bruce Willis?" I would liked to have talked to you longer and had a good look at your car. Hopefully our paths will cross again sometime soon.

How can a weekend get any better. If anyone thought of coming and didn't, make your plans now for next year. You will never see a better collection of hot rods. Congratulations Jeff, Brandon and Jay.

JEFF , JAY and BRANDON : Most of it has already been said , but once more shouldn't hurt -- What a fantastic event - I think ( hope ) you guys have created a monster . This event is SOOOOO perfect for us " older types " and I can only say a very humble THANKS for putting it together -- The hospitality was something you rarely see anymore -- A simple thanks seems so inadequate , but , THANKS !!!! DON & GAIL BLAIR -- Fleet 51

We were going to come but it was the weekend for my daughter's engagement party.

Were there bands this year I haven't seen anything, I thought the bands last year were so good/cool that was what was going to get me out, hope to make the event next year.

Looks like a good time. I'm still trying to get past the fact that Hot Rod Donnie drove out to the event!
How far away from the ford did he get? And did he ever put down that rag he uses to wipe the drool off the front fenders!
