I realize most of yooz guyz are a long way from the Windsor area , but I will mention the annual Sun Splash weekend starting this Friday at about 1 pm . I've been going for several years and have really enjoyed the show . It does draw several hundred cars most of which are interesting ....there are a few " look at my new Camaro/ Mustang / Mopar situations and , yes , even a rice rocket or two . It goes with the territory . There are a lot of great looking rods and customs to drool over . It starts Friday 24th , just past noon , in Beautiful Downtown Belle River . The car show itself is only on the Friday ....the rest of the weekend has other activities .

Think I'll go toA& W , Manning Road this Wednesday to see how I can handle it ....been out of hospital 3 weeks ( surgery ) and my stamina is shaky .....hopefully there is enough " gas in the tank " to handle Sun Splash . See you there Ragtop .
I only stayed for just over two hours , Ragtop , and didn't do my usual walk from one end to the other . I only took a few pics but got one of your great looking T coupe . I talked for a bit with your friend that owns the white 64 Plymouth 413 . The heat was starting to get to me and I decided to head home and have a nap .
I ended up talking to Norm from St. Joachim , the owner of this really cool looking 56 Ford Mainline . He ended up giving me the grand tour ......car guys are the best , aren't they ? It ends up that this 56 was a 10 year build , essentially from the ground up . Norm had lots of build pics on hand .....the car had been a black gasser ( and yellow , and blue ) back in the day and since it was from the Windsor area most of it's life , had a LOT of rust issues . Norm found a pristine frame to help out and used original design floor panels .....he did the interior in a black diamond leather or naugahyde . Motor is a well done up 390 that is now about 425 c.i. or so , and is backed by a C-6 , Ford 9" , 3:70 gears . He hasn't dynoed the car but there must be 500 + I would think ......really nice ride .
The only other one I got was this nicely done up F1 ......really into F1's and F 100's up to about 1956 . This teal one probably has a different front clip , given it is so low .....don't know about the motor . Pic is actually from A & W a few days before but I think I saw him at Sun Splash .
