Anyone come up with or seen an efficient way to stack steel wheels. (without falling over or rolling away) I would like to build a rolling cart/dolly to hold lets say 64 wheels. 8 stacks of 8.
I thought of giant ring toss but the weight and strength of the center tubes will not be cost effective. I could stand them on edge(on the beads)
I am open to ideas, the easiest to build and most economical would better.

I worked for Accuride for over 20 years where we manufactured wheels by the millions. The Ford 16" single wheels for F250/F350 trucks were all stacked this way on a double wide pallet - 64 per side, 128 per pallet. Your wheels could be stacked in this fashion utilizing an 8' wide X 2' deep X 6' tall rack or 16 Sqft footprint.
A for effort.

I racked a 40 foot trailer for tires using used 2x4's works great I used the end of the trailer and built racks to hold rims"on edge I have room for 30-40 rims
64 rims on a moving cart/dolly could be done with a frame on wheels e.g. S10 frame with wooden racks I'm sure you can do it
well some good things learned tonight.
My problem is I have 40 acres of parts in a 5 gallon garage.
I am trying to build carts/dollies so i can roll anything or everything out the door to make room when needed.
