I bought my 1952 Chevy 1300 about a year ago it was seized when I got it but some wd 40 and a bar I got it to break free then I put it in the corner of my shop and left it.. till about a good week ago. it was Monday and there was a huge car show on Sunday that I wanted to at least drive it into I didn't care if I had to tow it there. So I busted my but every night after work did a carb clean, points, coil, condenser plugs wires . Needless to say she fired right up when I filled the float bowl. So after that I plumbed the fuel pump up and go figure it leaked so I bypassed that with a electric fuel pump . Great test drive time!! Driving out my shop I immediately knew something wasn't right the clutch was slipping. But anyways my father and I played a bit in the parking lot of my shop a bit and there was enough clutch cto move it. Then Saturday morning I go to my shop to do a few little things and load her on the trailer and noo clutch so that put a bit of a damper in my plans. For the show so needless to say the trans and clutch is out and I need a clutch but anyways here's the old girl driving while she still could I've put a chrome grill in and headlights since the video to make me feel better about the clutch
Alright........Good For You Sure Feels Good When You Fire Up For The First Time Don't It!
& The Chrome Grille Looks Very Kool.
On The Road By Spring!!!!!!!!!!
The patina is there to stay!! And if I bust my ass and can get parts in time I'm hoping to have it on the road by october 17th for my cousins wedding. We will see how things go!
You just gotta love these old trucks! Thanks for resurrecting her and keep us posted sir.
Well unfortunately I didn't get it fixed up for the wedding its at my shop where I work a 9 hour day on a good day and I had some long work days and it killed the drive to work on it but this weekend coming up is the Ancaster swap meet And that should get me motivated with new parts for it
