it is not my car but i know of the car and i knew of the owner before he recently passed. he never drove it a bunch and it has been awhile since i have seen it but it is a nice car. he was a good caretaker. i was told about it yesterday from a mutual friend that his wife wants to sell it. it has a 454 roller motor and i honestly don't remember if it was standard or auto. knowing him there will likely be a pile of paper work with it. it won't be a cheap car but it will be very reasonable for a nice beaumont that didn't have the wheels run off it.
-if you are into beaumonts this is a nice one. pm me for contact info. rick

i can't answer that carl because i don't know. but i will tell you what, i would take a 50.00 bet with you at 2 to 1 odds that it wasn't just do to fact they only made 66 of them which i didn't know. lol about 8 or 9 yrs ago i was in texas visiting my sis and i came across a real nice 65 comet caliente which i bought from a guy that had some older cars. after we cemented the deal on the comet he said he had something that was perfect for me being a canuck. it was a 66 or 7 beaumont convertible with no power train that he said he couldn't sell as they, beaumont, didn't mean much down there. it was a nice solid car that had obviously spent most of its life down there and i could of had it for 2500.00. i passed on it but i still think that it was maybe one that got away sort of thing. the comet is in campbellford now and converted to a gasser look.
-hindsight is 20/20........pm returned
said he couldn't sell as they, beaumont, didn't mean much down there.
I would have thought the opposite , I'd think a Beaumont , with so few being in the States would be viewed as desirable due to its rarity. Kinda like a Mercury truck which I think was also only Canadian.

i guess not down that far, maybe some states along the border with easier access to parts maybe. i'm thinking if they thought they were desirable we wouldn't have any up here by now, maybe.
some info update, i think. my buddy who is helping with the sale gave me this vin # off the dash.

-# 7366781102857
here's the i think part, i did a little checking on that number and the 73667 part seems to be correct, custom convertible and i don't know the diff between deluxe or custom. but, i did a little snooping and the next #-8- might be the year. if that is the case then the heading should be 68 for sale.
-sorry for the vagueness on this thing but i haven't seen this car in at least 10yrs and about the most i remember it was a good looking convertible be it whatever year it was/is. my buddy who is helping the widow with this is not an old car guy so i will go over and get some info and pic's and put them up but he will be the go to person. hoping for tomorrow or the wednesday. sorry for the i think, i think.-lol

ok, lets get this going in the right direction once and for all. i obviously jumped the gun on this when i said it was a 67 beaumont convertible for sale, it isn't. it is a 68 beaumont convertible for sale. for that, sorry. -i am the 3rd party in this with no connection to the car other than i have seen this car 3-4 times over the years, the last one being 10 years ago, and it always appeared to be a nice car which was apparent that it had been looked after. i know this car hasn't been driven a lot. i met and talked to the owner a couple of times and you could tell he was into his car, which is a good thing. the owner has passed and his neighbor which is a friend of mine is helping the widow with the sale of it and i have put it on here to help him in his efforts. -vin # off the dash---7366781102857 -454 roller motor, as told to me -
pics supplied by bill, the neighbor
-i am guessing on this, which i probably shouldn't-67 car, lol that there will be lots of paper work with this knowing that the owner cared for this car which is fairly obvious.
-asking price, $25,000.00 - asking
