I've done a little web search and apparently this stuff is easy to make, just thought I would ask if anyone here has tried and if it worked out as expected or advertised?
A number of people have used peel and seal. There's some people online that argue it's a bad idea but I know a few who have used it and works well. I used it in my 53. It's a fraction of the cost of anything like dynomat.
Thanks Nickelye, I have also read that, I'm still in research so I thought I would see what others have used, home made Lizard Skin sounds cheap if it works.
V2,
I made my own and use it on my 29. I bought 4 gals. of 3M microspheres off of Evil bay and mixed it with the 2 part epoxy that was going to cover the bottom of the floor pan as well as the top side of the floor front to back top to bottom. I only users about a gallon and a half of the spheres. When you mix them into the paint, it looks like cream of wheat and then goes right back to looking like paint. I know it did what it was supposed to. The only heat I could feel off the floor was through the hole for the clutch and brake pedals. Try to find the 3M spheres on line. I just bought a 64 Chevelle and the floor pan will get the leftovers mixed in with some epoxy
I used the real LIZARD SKIN on my car. There are two applications. One for heat and one for sound. One gets sprayed on top of the other.
There is a "spray before" date on it,,which I didn't realize till it was out of date.
I haven't driven it yet so I don't know how well it works.
Would I use it again?? No I don't think so.

Thanks for the feed back Toomuchjunk, I will keep this in mind, I will keep researching for a bit, It sucks there is a shelf life, its awful expensive! one of the reasons I may try to make my own.
