One of my Uncles gave me his " little book" , Motor-rama, Hot-Rod & other title collection years ago. I still read through them. One of them, a Sportscar mag had an article on the Saddlers when they were in St Catharines On. Very cool Pierre, what else can you find?

I used to know some guys from West Hill and we had jackets made up with Conrods on the back. They were blue corduroy with white letters. All their names are long lost to me but somehow the name Ken sticks in my mind. One of the guys lived in a house that was on the south side of Kingston Rd just before Beachgrove (Jim Davidson Chrysler Dealer).

I don't have a copy of the magazine. I do have a blurry photocopy of the pages. They are stapled to the garage wall. I could try to take a picture of them.

No takers so it was parted out.

Dave, was John's pickup built in a garage in the alley off of Ottawa and Roxborough? I was told the first garage in was his and later used by Moe McNeice. I had the 3rd garage down the alley with my stock car in it.
The first garage was a rental about 2 or 3 blocks east of Ottawa. Edgemont?
Ross Winters had a '32 roadster there with a hemi laying on the floor that never got installed.
I had a '33/'34 Chev two door there also.
Then we went to a garage at Ottawa and Roxboro. I sold the Chev to Brian Trimmins.
This would be around '63 or '64. I'm not sure where we went after that.
Did Moe rent the Ottawa St. garage or the Edgemont one? I remember when Moe was driving taxi.
That would be when John had the Plymouth 413 car.? Very quick car. Moe rented the garage at Ottawa and Roxboro where he was putting a '37 Chev coupe together. I remember the name Ross Winters but not Brian Trimmins. You might remember my brother Ken more, had a 1954 Chev 2 door black and white with a tri carb 261 Inline 6 with a 4 speed hydromatic trans. It could hold its own up against a 300 HP Impala no trouble.
Moe must have rented that garage after we left.
When we had the garage by Edgemont, Cortuila was quite young. It was a few years later that he had the Plymouth.
He now lives in Inglewood, California and has a '63 Valiant with a hot motor and another '64 Sport Fury. I see him once in a while. Ross Winters had a '59 Impala back then.
I don't remember the '54 Chev though.
Have you been back to the Hamilton Muscle Car Reunion in the summertime? Met a lot of the names from back in the 60s. Danny Newcombe; Doug Elliott; Ray Krozek; Bob Balon; Frank Velenosi; Joe Carlton; Bob Farkas; Doug Pendelbury; Fred Tuddenham; Al Pottruff and a bunch more.
I've been to a couple of the re-unions. Wayne Thompson, etc.
Down at Liuana? by the lake.
I went to one at Tuddenham's also.
Ray Krozek had an older brother, Bill. I was friends with him.
I have a good story about Bill in Florida, me in Hamilton and Cortuila in LA.
A road trip across USA on Hwy. 10.
Years ago, I hung around Pendelbury Sr. sign shop on Main St. east.
I am familiar with most of the above names.
MacDougal and his truck too. I've know John since the mid fifties.
I was in Hamilton for 3 weeks at Christmas and New Years.
My son has a '32 Ford tudor that he bought from a guy that volunteers at Airplane Heritage in Mt. Hope.
Next visit we will have to get together at Rankin's and tell stories.
For sure. That would be fun. I see you are about 14 years older than me so we wouldn't have hung around the same crowd but you would be part of the legends that we looked up to with all the cool cars ....lol. Great memories

My dad was Clifford aka butch D ...steam fitter...live on lawrence ave across from heron park...drove a black 49 merc coupe at one time
Later lived on kingston rd three houses east of Rerrie's bait was my grand dads place bill william rafter...just down the road south side... from jim davidson...
Then there was Phil brownlee...Hans stark ...ontario r/v...donny gorden ... bob stevenson...billy hall..etc...
Would love to my hands on one of those jackets.
