I gota say Carl427 , you are one talented guy. If our govt folks had as much talent at what they do as half the guys on this site we would not be in the **** hole we are now in this country. I truly marvel at what you folks do with the cars I see on this site.
regards Gerry
The most I have ever paid for a 235 is 450 complete including the transmission but that one had a 200 dollar mini Hei on it I wanted. You never know someone doing a restore on a babit pounder may be willing to cough up start high and see what happens
That motor would be worth around $500-600 if it is pressure oiled with insert bearings as a good runner. In 1952, not all of them were. - only those that came with an automatic behind them originally. If its a babbit, splash oiled motor, price it about half that as they have a bad habit of eating the bearings suddenly.
I have picked up several of them in the last 5 years to replace 216's and splash oiled 235's. Never paid more than $200 unless it was a 261 as they were all bought as cores. Good runners should easily get more.
Not trying to be critical but why am I not seeing any evidence of the frame being cleaned down to bare metal before any welding took place? How is this possible without contaminating a weld?

A few years ago I bought a car that was originally American not available in Canada. The guy before me gave the bench seat away thought Nissan seats looked better.
My wife and I drove half way across Michigan to get another one. It cost me a fortune too. So I've been here already
