Ontario drivers will be paying more to renew their licence plate stickers starting September 1.
The cost for licence plate renewal in Southwestern Ontario will be going up to $120 from $108 and to $60 from $54 for Northern Ontario as of Sept.1.
The cost of sticker renewal in Southern Ontario has gone up about 62 per cent, from the $74 drivers used to pay in 2011.
According to the Ministry of Transportation, fees have gradually increased to improve infrastructure and for the support of key services such as the maintenance of provincial roads, bridges and highways.
