A couple of weeks back , this beautiful , restored 67 Mustang showed up and I had to have a discussion with the owner .

It turns out the fellow ordered this car , his first new car , and went with a 390 automatic , fold down rear seat , walnut steering wheel , optional hood etc .......and waited almost 6 months for delivery because of a fire at the Ford Plant in California back then .

My first new car was a 68 Mustang GT , although with a 302 4 speed and few other options .....faded picture below , the car is actually yellow with a black C-stripe .

We both remembered the excitement of that first new car . He obviously kept his a restored it a few years ago . I , unfortunately sold mine to go and pay my way through university .

He won't sell his in spite of being offered good money . We had a nice long chat and then I moved on to see other vehicles .
