Hi,

I recently purchased the above car with a 440 engine, all were converted to 12v. No issue on driving. I drove the car for almost 2 hrs and stop for gas, could not able to start it again. All the electronics are working. No clicking sound. No spark when I boost the battery, but battery is full charged.

Solenoid or starter motor issue? Where I can find them? I'm new to this hobby.

Anyone can recommend a mobile mechanic to visit the car in Scarborough, Ontario?

Thanks in advance.

If it's running the original ignition, check the ballast resistor.

I guess I read the original post too quickly and missed the part about no clicking. Short the large lug on the starter motor to the small one right beside it. If the starter turns, then the starter solenoid is shot. Best fix is to install a new style mini starter and get rid of the old gear reduced unit.

Hi,
Thanks for all your support, I found the a burned ground wire from ignition cause all the issue. Wiring got redone.

Need some advice on the following

1)planning to replace a new ignition switch, the car has push button, I have disconnect that, but want to have it back, any preferred brand name or best switch for ignition?

2) currently the car has a vacuum based wiper, prefer an electric wiper. any product and solution with wiring?

Thank in advance.

Good Day

For the wipers, I don't believe there is anyone making a conversion kit, but you can probably make your own.

For ignition switches...I haven't found much difference between them.
