I used Speedway's version of "Painless" seem to work out fine.
I've used them too, but the quality of the components especially the switches is not as good as the American Autowire. The last Speedway kit I used had a headlight switch that was DOA right out of the box because of poor assembly.
I would go with American Autowire. I'm just finishing one up and it is a nice kit. I have a new Rebel kit in stock for the next project but I don't think I will use it. TMJ
Wow. Other places I read said that rebel was the way to go.
I'm running a pretty basic car. I'm wanting a 9 circuit kit.
Which kit did you guys use? The website is a little confusing.
An idea on price.
TMJ do you sell these?

Ah,,,,,no I don't Just have some stock built up. It's not really fair to compare the two. In the larger kits Rebel is $255 and American Autowire is $469 or so. Yes one is obviously better quality but you get what you pay for... Whatever is in your budget. Now the autowire the wires are not attached to the panel and the Rebel (I think if I remember right) the wires are permanently attached. Not being attached could be a bit of a plus not always but sometimes. If you buy one without a MEGA FUSE and holder buy one as a add on.
They all come with better than stock wire.
They all have the wires labelled every few inches.
They all have the wires terminated in a fuse panel.
They all have the different zones separated.
They all come with adequate wire length.
etc, etc.
American autowire is not factory terminated in the fuse block it comes with very nice factory style plugs usually already installed/terminated has a main circuit breaker no one else has lots of options etc etc etc
excellent customer service
