Brake bleeding

So I'm into some brake line rework etc. Have the master off and was thinking about the bench bleed technique. Done this many times but i have a reverse bleeding system. Basically you pump fluid through the bleeders up into the master . This works great for the standard line clearing but i thought why not do the entire system including the master. Would be much cleaner and easier I'm thinking. If i was to depress the peddle and hold it there opening the circuit in the cylinder then would it not remove the air if fluid was pushed through it in reverse.

wouldn't you need to not push the pedal down so the ports would stay open ??? When I,m doing brake lines . I put a brake depressor rod onto the brake pedal and push the pedal down an inch or two to stop the brake fluid from gravity bleeding out of the master and running it dry

Thanks for the reply ,I thought if you depressed the pedal the ports are open. Would this not allow for the fluid to travel through the circuits.
