It was a 327 car. I bought it with a 348 in and later put the 409 in it.

You state it was built as a 327 car but the ad says it was built a 409 car? Am I reading something wrong?

I think Brian is saying that he once owned that car and knows it was factory built with a 327 and the current owner claims it is a factory 409 car because the VIN doesn't indicate what V8 it came with.

Tags only show 6 or eight cylinder engine. But fuel line routing can indicate if it a higher performance engine.
