The Buddy Deal

Hi all, how do you guys deal with selling parts to a friend.

Im upgrading the transmission in my car and a friend wants my transmission, it is a m-21 muncie that could use 2nd gear synchronizes, pops out of second gear once in a while

other then that it works fine.

It comes with a lakewood scatter shield and a  shifter, what would be a fair buddy price ?

Thanks for any input.

RR

Acquaintance... $1250...Buddy $900...Friend... You give it to him then go to his place while he installs it and drink all his beer, tell him everything he is doing wrong and hide all his 10mm sockets and wrenches.

Would you just give your buddy $300. ?!?! If not, why cut him a deal ? There are favours which can be given with no obligation or they can be asked in return. But when it comes to the sale of an item, everybody pays the same.  And why should he expect a deal anyway ??
