I'd put together a portfolio with lots of pictures, certifications, a full description of everything done and determine how you want to drive it, full time, cruises, racing and be up front with the brokers. If they issue a policy and find you left something out, your policy will be void and that much tougher to re insure. I would approach Lant/Hagherty, Zehr and your current insurer to see where they stand. I know you said co-worker but it is easier to think in the second person.
Good Luck

Most insurance co. will "shy" away from vehicle with a "roll cage" as they think it will be used for racing!! Which would VOID your policy "anyway"?????

If the car meets all requirements for insurance it should be good.
Does it have to be inspected?

I would have it appraised and apply for classic insurance .   answer the questions they ask .
