Had a couple of emails on the same day, saying I have a package that can't be delivered and need to reply to a given email for pickup. Problem was...I don't have any packages coming. So it was apparent there was something a bit off. When I looked at the whole email closer, it doesn't say anything about who it is, no business is mentioned or shipping company that would or could be involved. Just an email to reply to. Since I just deleted the pair of them I don't know if they were phishing for money or personal info, but you can bet it would be something of that sort. They are still out there guys, have an eye, don't fall for it. Sniper
On the tractor forum I am on, we are getting a rash of new members answering ads that say they have a friend that is looking for that item and to email at this email...........It's a scam if you see this.
I mod ; or did on turbododge
we had an issue with peeps who NEVER made a public post but would ooffer parts to the things wanted adds
OF COURSE there were no parts forthcoming and as they never posted the mod "tools" couldn't be used to eliminate them
so we added a minimum post count before you could use the PM system..
I was following along on the "who's online" list and would routinely see "members" we never saw using the site as their own conversation area.. discussing god only knows what between themselves
so we got rid of that
a new format eliminated the option of a post counter and autoguide don't seem to give a rats azz 'bout it
a couple of months later they changed the site format so much I quit using the site entirely ..
