Well - I have been on the back burner with projects for about 2 yers now - got into building a new house.

I have wanted a Miagi car since I first saw th Karate Kid back in what - the late 70s - early 80s?

Last fall I lucked into and bought a 47 Ford convertible driver quality car.

Needed lots of love but it was a solid start.

So somewhere along the way I decided it needed a new interior to replace the god awful mess that was in it - front seat had no less than 3 seat covers on it and were all that was holding the seat together. Rear seat wasnt much better.

So I ditched the seats - and bought a sebring convertible rear seat which fit perfectly, and a Zepher bench bucket seat with fold down arm rests for the front - again  - it fit perfectly.

Added power steering, power roof, power wipers, added a vintage air servo style heater, a new tilt column, all new American autowire electrical harness, and custom built for me, Dakota Digital analog gauges.

Ordered new rims but they are back ordered due to Covid like so many other things I wanted.

Picked up a brand new set of 3" wide whites as well.

So being a total cheap skate - and wanting all white interiror - and sew it begins (sic) - bought an old singer, and decided I am doing the interior.

Lots of schooling by a good friend who does it for a living, and who knew - I love doing it.

So got the carpet sewn together after a couple days of pattern making - I dont like the edged carpet panels all the higher end cars use - and so I now have the carpet sewn and then glued into place over

new sound deadner, and jute underlay - fits like the proverbial glove. Kid helped me get the dash back into place today . So steering column tomorrow, and install all of the switches. Seats are all done and ready to install.

This weeksproject is the door panels and kick panels, and the rear seat side panels. Might just kill this thing by Friday :) Rims are still back ordered so may have to drive the old slinky wheels for another month.

The pics do not do the white material justice - it will take your eyes out it is so bright. :) A 50 year old bucket list item now off the list. Oh - that big enpty hole in the dash - its for my backordered round gauge hole stereo

Found some nice chrome bumpers and bumperettes as well to replace the ugly painted black stuff that was on it. :)

intended for a boat.

Lots more miscelaneous stuff done to tidy things up - car should be ready for a safty check next week
