I was about 18 when I got this one. A guy named John Ball built it in West Hill. A 1964 Rambler American with Ford Econline truck suspension, Chevy drive line, Dodge interior seats and stuff. Never had a lock on the trunk. Just stuck my finger in and flicked a lever. Made a small step stool for my girlfriend (future wife) to climb in. The wipers always slowed down when I stepped on the gas if it was raining. I had an I-beam running from side to side to hold the transmission in. One day a nut and bolt on one side came loose driving through Peterborough and all of a sudden when I went to shift, my shift was gone ! It had dropped down to the floor. Drove to the zoo nearby and used a couple of concrete parking stops stacked up with the jack on them and jacked everything back up into place and through on another nut.! Ah memories. Anyway, this is a model I built when I owned the car around 1971. Still have the model after these many years. I think the kit might be a Chevy but I altered it slightly to look like my ride at the time. Anybody still have any of their old kits built on a shelf? They sure do collect dust. Had it in the wood shop in the basement for a while. Lots of dust there. I only had one photo of the actual car and can't find it. I sure miss that car.
