My wife & I went to a craft show in Douro today and someone liked my truck enough to ask if I could bring it to her wedding in June.  I was just climbing back in and they were passing by. Never saw the crafts. The roadside was packed with cars as far as I could see & there was a 45 minute line-up to get in. Anyway, she took our phone number and said she would contact me.  So my question is, how much, if anything, do you charge for something like this ? I said nobody drives it but me and she said it doesn't even need to be driven. Just park it at the wedding. Her father passed away a few years ago & the old red truck would be like having him there. So, do people charge for use of a truck for a few hours ?  If so, how much ?  My only worry is that I might miss taking my rat rod to a show in June.  Grafton, Lakefield and Golden Beach are in June. Oh no !  Help !

You might be able to get a couple of hundred bucks. I'd rather the photographer take some great pictures and give them to you and your family. No cost great value.

Thank you Marten. Oh I don't need any photos. It would be nice to add to her special day but I hope I don't miss a show with the rod.

Remember our talk about paying it forward? Something good will come out of this. Just make the commitment if they ask and enjoy the day. Probably better then any car show. Be sure to wear your hay seed clothes.

We have many car shows to go to in our lives , they have one wedding day.
Take pictures, maybe meet new friends, enjoy being a part of someones special day. The memories
will last far longer than the rental fee and it never hurts to bank a little good Karma. Ed

Paying it forward sounds wonderful. Good kharma sounds great too. I hadn't even thought about taking part. She just needs the truck. I thought I'd stay as low as I could and not get in the way. Food and drink ? I don't drink and I'm fussy about food and I hate crowds - but I do like the idea of helping them out on their very special day. Besides, Chrome on the Canal is the show I like best and that isn't in June so I guess this works out fine. It would have been nice to get car parts money but what's the rush, eh? I'll have to wash and hand wax it and dress up a bit I guess but I'm leaving my Mr. Haney rope seat belt in the truck ! It seems to go over well.
Thank you all. I already feel good about my decision to just help out when needed. No better feeling.
