I saw this on the net and liked the grill right away.  Hmm, maybe down the road I'll take a stab at that. But way down the road. Too much to do already.  Beautiful roadster though.

yes it is!! BUT in Ontario it's almost impossible to license a hand built or "kit" car unless you have a "fudged" ownership for identical "real" car!! Otherwise it's got to be up to standards of the year you apply for a ownership!! Air bags, emission's, crash bumpers, and a long list of other crap!!!!! Think that's why you see a lot of Kit cars for sale, owners found out the hard way!!!!

I just meant that there is a lot of craftsmanship and skill to create such a beautiful piece of metal. It looks fine to me.

Just checked on Line, for this, in one site it says "Must meet or "exceed" Ministry safety & emissions requirements when registering a home built vehicle!! It must be registered as the year it's licensed ie 2020 & meet those specs. You used to be able to a do a affidavit with a lawyer but think they did away with that?? A "KIT car can be registered with above rules "IF" you have VIN from kit car manufacturer, and it gets registered in currant year as well!! At the end it says " RED TAPE" extremely difficult to navigate!!!!!!!

Most of the people on this site and others like it build or modify vehicles that have a provenance. Whether it is a T or an A or a 30s, 40s, 50s or a 60s era muscle car, they all come with a VIN (or so we believe) and so we build them and register them. To build something from scratch, your name needs to be General or Ford or one of the other families. What would result wouldn't come close to what we do here. I have been doing this for 60 years and have met hundreds if not thousands of like minded people who have never wanted to build a self driving Toyota. Why are we having this conversation here? But I agree with Cuddles, the grill is a nice piece of workmanship.

I don't think so.

The year of engine must have all emissions it came with. My 69 El Camino has all emissions from an 04 Avalanche, year of the donor engine.

If this is something that intrigues you, you can always check with Invision Prototypes outta the Hamiton area (if correct).

Nick has built a couple of one off's, and is in the process of building another. I follow him on Instagram.

I just know I really enjoyed making my rad shell and I might try another someday or try making something else. Maybe fenders? Who knows? It's just nice to see the metal taking shape. Thank you everyone.
