i took this in on a trade some time ago and i really-really don't need it as i have a 2 and a 4 post hoist already.
it is quite similar in appearance to the one below in the pick. the center legs, in front of the drive tires in pic, have a pivot pad attached and the rear legs are shorter than this one. there is a set of ramps that hook on the back end and when you drive up and over the center point the front legs come down to the floor. it is in good condition and you could sit erect on a stool under it.
if i had to wager a small bet i would say it is factory made or at least by someone with some talent. the one in the pic is priced over 2000.00 and i would take 500.00 for this one. i would make another wager that the metal to build one would be well over my asking price.
I got up to the farm and did some measuring and a good look at it. like i mentioned i took it in on a horse trade and never really paid attention to it much.
the actual ramps the car/truck sits on are 15ft long. the width of the ramp it sits on is 17in. the height from the ground to the ramp the car/truck sits on is 32in. the width apart between ramps is adjustable.
about the only thing i would be leery of is making sure it is on a flat stable surface before i would work under it. for those who are interested send me your cell phone number and i will text some pics and it is sitting about 15 minutes east of peterborough, 1 mile north of #7 hiway and i have the means to load it there.
If i wasn't the poor son of an ex used car salesman, I'd be all over that for the money.. Neat piece brother!
LMFAO, buddy that is pretty funny, yes so/re bub that is pretty funny. your old man and another old lad from down frankford way were 2 of the best guy's i have ever dealt with. each time i dealt with them i felt like i should of paid more after listening to their story. that's pretty funny chris. here is hoping that a little bit of that rubbed off on to you.
