E Brake/Parking Brake

Just wondering if anyone is using an E-Stopp electric parking brake. On my 30 Model A there is no parking brake now. It has a T5 trans and a Ford 8” rear end with original backing plates with holes for the cable and all the brake hardware there. The E-Stopp is very intriguing, but also pricey. I really don’t want to cut the floor to put a pull handle there.

there are lots of wrecking yard alternative's - and cheap if you go to one of the many pick a parts

This is what I'm planning for my rod as well.

Rockauto lists some parts for a visual aid and also see kinda what's involved.

I have used the Lokar but really prefer a Ford handle out of a Mustang or Escort. It uses a rocker bottom for better advantage and better clearance over the drive shaft.

When I was building my '40 I considered making my own E brake. Really all it is is a 12V actuating cylinder. I ended up using a small handle instead. There is The E brake guy in Clifford Ontario maybe he can help. Looks like he has and makes cables, he's on FB. His name is Keith Harris

On my 29 I used a handle from a forklift. Short handle and lots of clearance at the trans.
