Just got my car tuned and went looking - Sept 23/24 for regular racing, and Oct 1 last two events for the year at Shannnonville
none of my business Ken but have you raced there before? the reason being is if you are taking the big power car i would go for the regular race day but not on the test and tune day with big power. there is a huge difference in track conditions between the 2 events myself and a couple of buds have found out the hard way. one bud smashed up a high dollar, high powered vette into the wall due to fluid on the track about 40-50 feet out from all the crap street cars on test and tune days. don't get me wrong there are a lot of nice cars on t and t days but there are others that are leaking sh!t when they smash the pedal down and not enough to be noticeable at the line for a cleaning. my last time with the chevelle on a t and t day pretty near put it into the wall also about 50 ft out, it was a close call and i consider myself lucky i caught it in time.
again bud, none of my business but a little heads up, is all. good luck and have fun.
I did 4 runs averaging but all very close to 9.975 @ 66.25. My RT ran about .630. My RT is usually in the .3s, maybe it was the heat. On my 5th run I accidently hit the kill switch at 60', kind of embarrassing. The old 261 with the TH350 and 3500 stall launches real nice, just doesn't have the HP to pull that top end, but this old guy has a good time.
