I have dealt with 4 Krown outlets todate and our experience today in Port Hope was the best.  The offices are usually filthy and cramped with nowhere close by to wait like a restaurant.

But today we went to the Port Hope Krown and the office is clean and spacious and a TV and chairs (plural -that's a first too) but a lot of restaurants within walking distance.

All that remains is to crawl under the car and see how thorough the job was.

This office has been open 3 years.  Nice staff as well.

I hope this helps somebody out. It was worth the extra distance even though we have an oiutlet in Peterborough. We won't go back to the Peterborough Krown.

The Welland Krown dealer is similar to the Port Hope by the sounds of your note. Love the Krown product been using it since the 90's. Our 92 Olds had a solid outer body as well as the floor until its demise - the engine mileage killed the vehicle. Can't remember the exact mileage but north of 300,000 k's.

I'm not really a "Rust Proof" user . But a few years ago I sprayed some Crown Rust Proofing on a crankshaft that was sitting out in the shop . I looked at it about a year and a half later and it was still rust free . So I guess the stuff works .

My brother-in-law goes to Krown every year with the same old Ford and no rust anywhere in over 20 years.

Years ago I used something from Gibbs. They said you could paint over it.
Lately I have Rust-Mort.

I work in a body shop and we won't warranty any dent repair or welding repair unless it has been under coated with either crown or rust check.
Another tip is to smear Vaseline on paint chips like wheel wells and door edges over the winter to prevent water and salt rotting the metal until you can get it repaired.

Remember if you decide that old engine oil, trans fluid , ect.... Will damage door rubbers and they look like an old limp lasagna noodle...

I have been taking my daily drivers to the Krown in Stoney Creek for many years. It's not the closest location to me anymore, but worth the extra drive. They always do a thorough job, and they have a large, clean waiting room with complimentary coffee (Keurig machine) and wifi.
