What is interesting in my hot rod world

Interesting or just frustrating ? I needed 4 more 8 foot 4 x 4s to finish my deck.  Have you ever seen someone trying to load four 8 foot 4 x 4s into a Honda Fit ?  Oh I got them in but I got a lot of amused stares from other customers in the Home Depot lot as I loaded them.  I even got the back hatch closed but it was a challenge.

And all the while, I'm thinking about my 3/4 ton pickup sitting on the pad at home waiting for a new 12 volt generator.  So embarrassing. So frustrating.  Just a hobby.

Did you put them in sideways, sticking through the back door windows? I think I saw you on Facebook.

HeHe
A neighbour of mine had a Toyota Yaris and the amount of stuff she would cart from Home Depot was just amazing.

In a Honda Fit, lots more room  biggrin

In the older Honda Fit, three seats fold flat so loading was easy. Our new Fit has heated front seats and they don't fold forward. I found out the hard way in an HD lot. Live & learn.

12 foot lengths of down spout for fixing your eaves troughs will just fit nicely in a 2008 ford edge . One thing I miss about the old crv was you could open the hatch glass for extra long stuff

One day my Dad and I picked up some lumber then stopped at a donut shop. The donut shop parking lot was next to a block building. As we sat there eating, drinking and shooting the **** another fella pulled in with his load of planks. He oped the cab window, rested one end of the planks on the dash and the window frame the other end)s) hanging over the tailgate ( up position). He wheeled up and backed into the spot next to us when suddenly his windshield exploded.....the planks hanging over the tailgate found the building next door.

Crap, I hate when that happens.  It only cost me $400 for a new windshield but hey, I save $25 in delivery fees.
