Don't know if it is just me getting older but putting all the stuff away for the winter seems to be tougher each year as i get into it.  By the time i get the 50 truck, 70 chevelle, 2002 camaro, 2 harleys, a golf cart and a 4 wheeler in their place and batteries unhooked i am whooped. Then tomorrow i winterize stuff that i use over the winter.  Round bale spear onto the backhoe and go over the snowmachine.  This getting old sh!t is starting to take it's toll.  lol   I actualy used to enjoy the ritual but it is becoming more of a chore as time goes on.    Oh well it's all done and behind me now.

I feel your pain,Shag, after winterizing everything with a engine in it,putting the vehicles away, steel wool in the door jambs to keep the mice out, winterize the house, and trying to remember everything to do,drive 1000 miles with the wife, and get all the stuff organized down here,I am whooped also, start the vehicles, bad starter on the one, take for a drive, bring back, change caliper, next one add 2 quarts of trans fluid, move truck out, half a bag of oil dry on the floor, pull the living day lights out of the lawn mower, still won't start, had enough, sit down and have a crappy American beer, yuk,I am whooped but after all the crap,it finally gets done for another year, lol

I managed to remove the truck battery and remove the 6 volt generator for conversion to 12 over winter and cover the truck and remove the battery from the rod (really hard to get to) but I'm still building a deck. Almost done. Then grab all the freezables and stow them in the basement today if I can finish the deck today. The alternative is apartment dwelling so I'm ok with this but you're right, it doesn't get easier. I guess I'm lucky with only 2 rides to store. Almost forgot, the lawn tractor battery ! Oops !

yeah, i am with you pugs with the boat batteries, there is a lot of lifting and up and down a ladder. i haven't taken them out for 3 years now or the boat for 2 for that matter but uhooked with a trickle charger hooked on and charge them up every fall and spring. i like your thinking with the denser lead. lol

I just downsized , this will be first year of not having to store up vehicles for the winter . Since like 1976 those rituals been going on .
Snowblower is gassed up , oil checked and a test run . Well it was just some leaves along the fence but it works fine . Then to gas and oil up new generator . Everything here is electric so I bought a bigger one w electric start . Just gotta pick up a trickle charger for it . I want to put three new belts on my lawn tractor . And during the move , my atv shifted around a bit in the trailer and hit the gas filler neck on tractor . Now I have a fuel leak at tank somewheres
And the debate is hmmmmm??? Heated garage , do I fix it now or wait till spring . Decisions decisions
