Well that third hand sure is handy. I took some time through the cold weather months to do a batch of trophies for the Keene Pumpkin Fest this coming autumn and I would love to learn to tig so I can do more detailed trophies but I think these turned out not bad for a first try. Might do some more over summer if I can get thje scrap auto parts. I have some spark plugs and valves left. I wonder what I can make with those ? Hmm? But the weather will soon be warm enough to get back at the rod before car season so time to change my focus to some serious stuff.

Thank you Larry. I'll try something a bit different today. I used rat rod Bob's paint technique so far but not today.
I would love to heat my garage but I am still sinking my money into car parts. Mostly truck parts lately.
I picked up a used mini-split to heat the garage.
$700 and another 3 or 4 hundred to have it set up.
I did the 220v wiring with a disconnect outside.
It's set at 20C now. And it's warm when you come in from outside.
Also, my garage is 12 feet high. They are cheap to operate.
I really enjoy making them Chris. Thanks. And the heater sounds gorgeous Jarvis1 but if I have $700 or $100, it goes into my ride and now I have 2 rides to sink money into. I have to spend money on one ride so I can drive into town and get parts for my other ride. I guess the lucky part is I don't have 3 rides. At least with just 2 rides I can hope for a heater someday. But this winter was pretty good. Only a few days when my fingers couldn't take the cold. Got a couple more trophies underway.
I think I have a small box of pieces saved here from an engine teardown, I'll do a little dig.. I may have scrapped them too
cannot remember right now...

Thank you Chris. Even if you don't find anything, I appreciate the effort.
I was thinking of practicing some pin striping on some. I know you're usually more than busy but if you'd like to join in ...
I think white and red are the traditional striping colours ( I could be wrong ) and 1 Shot is the paint of choice, right ?
Started on a couple more trophies - not quite done but almost there ... just using scrap metal. Have to do the mounts still. Still doing lettering on the other one.
One Shot paint is still the choice for pinstriping but I wouldn't necessarily say red and white
are your only traditional colour choices, maybe when you look at flat black ratrods,sure..
But red and white don't complement every other choice..
