ARP really ? Big . well renowned company . So I,m putting in arp long studs in my project and it calls for 39/64 drill to install the studs . Try to find one ? Ha ... I,m gonna try to find a machine shop supply company , after that its off to amazonia land .

Why in the name of ... wouldnt they just pick a common size drill size to mount their products . Ok rant off ha ha

Local big machine shop , drill and ream to proper size 150 bucks for two rotors ,

Bud, if you spent the money for ARP heads follow the directions. A friend of mine owns the dyno place they spent huge money on developing the technology. I guess the bottom line is, there are cheaper heads but if you spent the money on theirs, follow the program. It's a high end product for power.

OOoop"s   did I ever screw up and i will blame my medication, pot butter.   lol   Somehow i had it in my noodle AFR heads.   Sorry for the mix-up

No its extra length axle studs for racing 100-7703 . Requires 39/64 drill bit . I use arp stuff all the time . I,m just saying for something like an axle stud . Why not just make the finished drill hole size a common drill size . 2 huge machine shops here near moncton nb want to drill to a slightly smaller size then ream to finish . 150 and 175 is the quote . Ouch LOL . Turns out they both admitted to not having a bit that size When you break it down its just 15 or 17 bucks a hole . Now that will get you ( hopefully ) decent fitment . But If it was a common size say 9/16 or 5/8 for example , thats just off the shelf drill sizes . It would only cost 25-35 bucks .
So todays adventure in Doug /77 Land . Taking a 5/8 drill bit and seeing if it can be turned / ground down to 39/64 - .605 . or just a Red hair larger and try that . Just for ten holes . Next option looks like amazon and about a weeks wait

Many moons ago I bought new axles from Strange Engineering .  The studs were 1/2 fine thread and the axles were taped.  Could you not just drill and tap the the axles to 1/2 NFT ?   I think Brofasco sells these bolts . At least they did at one time .  39/64s , is that for the knurl on the axle stud ?
