I'm looking at getting something different for my taillights. So far I've put chrome wrap inside the light housing. Change bulbs to 1157 led bulbs and added a third bulb per side. The light level is hard to see still. Now looking at flush mounted led strips. I don't want the surface mounted type. The pricing is all over the map. What is a good trusted brand to check out?
Use the three regular 1157's, but bring a fat supply wire down to a relay. Use the wire from the light switch to trigger the relay and get better juice to the bulbs. Could make a difference.
A thicker wire from battery to lights could be run outside the car for a quick test.
I don't think the bulbs are the problem. Your lens should be outside the metal work to carry the light. Did you use regular red plastic or refractive plastic like in tail light lens?

Ya I've been looking at something similar. Just bit the bullet and order some up Iguess. Goingtodoabitmorelookingfirst. . Reverse lights would be great but I don't have a way of mounting a switch. The safety netural switch is in the same spot the reverse switch would go. And I don't need reverse lights on this truck.
Thanks for all the help thus far
