I just noticed that Princess Auto is carrying Cleco tools and fasteners.  I don’t know if this is something new but I don’t recall our local store having them before.  They’re in the welding department and they have the tool and fastener sets in 1/8 and 3/16 inch, the tool alone, 1/8 & 3/16 fasteners and side grip clamps.  Don’t know if the prices are competitive with other suppliers but at least they have them.

We used them in the aircraft industry. Very handy for bodywork.

Aluminum 4 X 6 sheet cost me $160 from there 2 years ago. Could not find anyone closer for that size.

You are correct there is no such thing as aircraft aluminum. BUT 2024 and 7075 grade aluminum is called aircraft aluminum as that is its main usage for its strength and corrosion resistance. Alloys copper, magnesium, and zinc are what changes the structure of aluminum making it stronger than your standard aluminum. Only down fall is that it becomes poor after welding causing it to crack near the weld when in use.
