I just learned about harness lacing from the net.  So tidy and easy.  I hope this helps anyone else who didn't know about it.

I just practiced with some string.  I started with a constrictor knot like they use in aircraft lacing and in surgery and then just loop all along the wires. E Z P Z !

I wired many elevator controllers using string like that.
It's a lot easier on your hands when trouble shooting as compared to tie wraps with sharp edges.

I found another site that improves on the harness lacing of the first site I posted. In this video, the lacing isn't compromised if it is cut at any one point. At 8 minutes into the video, she shows a better method for tying the lace in the running stitch.
