Just a heads up for all you painters out there.  We’ve all heard about the Harbor Freight “purple” spray gun, the one that some guys like for primer and then throw away after one use because they’re so cheap.  Well, Princess Auto has the same gun in their latest flier for just $17.99, same design and specs as the HF one, and purple to boot!  It’s SKU 8870685 and it will be available March 10th but limited quantities according to the flier.  Have fun

I have one for my primer gun. They work just fine. Keep em clean and it will last a long time.

Speaking of Harbor Freight , I do a lot of high end painting and I bought a Black Widow HTE spray gun there a couple years ago as well as the disposable cup setup and wow, it’s as good as any spray gun I’ve ever used! Here’s a couple examples of a couple watercraft I’ve painted this winter for a museum , mind you this is all straight out of the gun, not sanded and rubbed!

To me if you clean you're equipment and know how to set them up for your style of painting then it doesn't matter what spray gun you use...
I've seen guys spend $1000+ on a single spray gun and it looks like they painted with a gravel guard sprayer or a dry roller. They think that they need to go buy the equipment seen on internet videos will make them paint like the user.

I always tell the person. "The way I spray may not work for you but here are some tips and tricks"... "Now its up to you to figure out how to get the results you're looking for."
There are so many variables to work with and consistency, methodical procedures seem to be the way I eliminate a lot of unwanted potential issues.
Trouble shooting and solutions are a big part in painting... The spray gun is just one of them.
