I'm looking to have a Carter WA-1 single-barrel carburetor from a 1950 Hudson Pacemaker 500 rebuilt. Is there any shop or trusted contact that I can reach out to?
Hand Brake Cable:
Does anyone know where I can find or order the hand brake cable — specifically, the one that runs from the dash-mounted lever down underneath the car to actuate the rear brakes?
There was another toronto area shop . carburetor rebuilders . Used to see them at different swap meets ,
there are companies that can make e brake cables . I cannot remember the name but there used to be a shop on north end of scarberia that could make custom made throttle and clutch cables for bikes we were working on with taller handle bars
When I converted my 50 chev truck from under dash handle and rods and bars . I found that a 86 ish monte carlo had literally same distance from firewall to rear axle . So i converted it to a foot pedal and three cables . The truck had a chevelle rear diff in it . Maybe you could find a vehicle at an auto wreckers that has a front cable similar to what you need , and use that ?

I have been dealing with this guy for 30 years. He custom makes any cable you want and they are good. His name is Ermil Muhlberger and his phone number is 905-564-0222. He is located at 1905 Albion Rd @ Hwy 27. A cable similar to what you want runs about $95. You will have to supply him with a sample or accurate measurements. Call him first.
@58Chev,
No luck from the Specialty Carbutters Inc. But found www.thecarbguys.ca/ from the OldAuto newspapers, they are still in business, Don Oake is the owner.
