Another thank you. This weekend was something else, I got to do all the things on my wish list in one day. Sunday I decided to just observe, and still learned a lot just watching. Was taught how to stretch metal, make tucks and hammer them down flat again, why you do this and where it's used. Made a bowl, or dome shape from flat sheet by hammering it out on a stump, worked it on a planishing hammer and E wheel, even gave it a bit of character and a rim with a beading machine. And this was just the first item. Shown how to make a flexible pattern, and how to make the part from that. The reverse curve was really a cool thing to do, (potato chip shape) that can be found in a lot of areas of body work. I learned so much in such a short time, it was amazing. Meet some really cool people with some fantastic talent and know how. Meet a few newbs just like me, and I can bet they came away with a lot of new skills and knowedge as well. This was my first metal meet, Pugsy and Chef, a big thank you. Learned a lot and had a great time. Sniper
Just wanted to thank Pugsy for the opportunity to be able to attend this kind of event. I only made it for saturday but I still learnt a lot. Thanks again and hopefully it happens again next year and I can make it for the weekend. Nice meeting some of you others also.
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Pugsy for opening his heart and his shop and dedicating his time for this event. It was an educational experience for me and I enjoyed it very much even though my bowl was wabbly. It was very well organized and I was pleased to meet some of the forum members.
man im so disappointed i missed it, i thought i was gonna get stuck working but ended up having a death in the family, glad it was a great turn out though looks like it was great
