Would make a cool shifter, but as a music junkie it'd be hard to use a working mic for anything other then singing off key into. I will keep an eye open, but to be honest it'd be hard for me to give up... hahaha

Was a different manufacturer and alot older... but very similar style.  I think... my memory is bad today for some reason.

Thanks Guys

I found one on eBay it is an original from the early 50's. It was still north of $100.00 but the originals are scarce and most are selling for over $200.00

Good Stuff! I was talking to my youngest brother who had been doing some emblem casting in pewter and mentioned that this might be an avenue to explore by maybe casting shifter knobs. This being one of the styles he could do( skulls etc. too). These are pretty hollow and light and a "purpose made" one might be a bit more solid & practical. Anyway good score.

Well it is pretty heavy. I was very careful and removed the all of the components to preserve them. I installed a nut in some epoxy to mount it where it would mount to the mic stand, the epoxy can be removed at a later date. Tried it on the shifter and it looks great. I have a couple of other tricks in mind as well. wink
