I Saw her at NSRA North East in Burlington Vermont a couple of years ago. She was at her table with no one else around so I went over for a chat. I bought a picture and she asked me if I had seen American Graffiti, I told her about the first time I saw it. I was living in Trenton and myself and 5 other guys piled into my buddies 62 Rambler and drove to Toronto on a very cold winters day.We took in the movie and on the way home we blew a head gasket and pissed all the coolant out the tailpipe. It was really cold and we almost froze to death as the heater had stopped working. We made it as far as Brighton before we coasted into a service center. We called a friend for a ride home and the car went to the wrecker the next day. I asked her if I could get a photo with her the next day If I brought my camera to which she said yes. Now remember I was the only person there at her table the whole time.
So the next day I went back with my camera and asked if she remembered me from the day before. She replied no so I reminded her I was the guy who had gone to see the movie in the 62 Rambler that had blown up. Still she didn't remember. She replied that she meets thousands of people and can't remember everybody. I replied that I expected that I was the only one with a blown up Rambler story and that I really thought she would remember having heard that one. She said sorry but she didn't. I shook my head and walked away without bothering to ask for the picture. The truth was that she is a has been small time bit part movie star who is making a living flogging pictures from a almost 40 year old movie at 15 to 25 dollars a pop. She sits at her table and chats up the customers and pushes her pictures with the same old well practiced questions the whole time her mind is obviously elsewhere. I guess I cant really blame her.

She was a model when she auditioned for the part in AG. She was actually engaged to Jeff Bridges for a while but he dumped her quite unceremoniously. I've met a few famous people and tend not to get star struck ( with a few exeptions!) I met Jay Leno years ago at a SAAC convention. We chatted cars for 20 minutes. A very genuine nice guy. My buddy standing beside me was agog... lol!
