The resource pool - post your skills or goods for trade?

I thought I'd start a thread for anyone who wants to offer their skills or goods for other skills or goods. I know this site is full of very capable people who take pride in being able to do as much as they can themselves...but for those who would rather not or cannot do certain work due to space, equipment or expertise this might want to pool resources and post here. Trade work for work - or gear.

For instance, I'm a metal fabricator in the KW, Guelph, Cambridge area. I'm willing to offer my skills for exchange for body & paint work or 81-87 chevy truck parts (I need a decent fleetside shortbox, tailgate, DS fender, inner fenders, sliding rear window, 10 or 12 bolt posi, 700R or 4 speed manual trans, vortec heads & intake, headers, misc trim....also seeking metalworking machinery)

I can offer Mig/Tig/Stick welding - all alloys, CAD design, CNC forming and have access to CNC laser and waterjet cutting, powdercoating, sandblasting etc. I offer anything from sheetmetal to trailers to ornamental iron.

Anybody else got stuff/skills to offer??

Damm, wish I had those skills. All I have to offer is a set of hands in exchange for knowlage. I do a bit of pinstriping, but there are people whos skills far exceed mine here. I have done some paint and body including some custom stuff, but again nothing of the calaber some of you have.

However with that in mind if someone needs a hand with something and Im available I would be glad to help. Almost forgot to mention that im pretty good at finding parts and things like that. So if you looking for something specific let me know and i"ll keep an eye open.

Wish I had more to offer however for now im not as useful as I would like

How about some labour, I'm a CNC machinist with over 25yrs., and yes I can use conventional shop equipment also.
I'm also trying my hand at repairing stainless and aluminum trim/grills etc., including polishing.

Throwing this out there, if I can be any assistance, please feel free to ask.

Great looking truck Gazoo! Chevyboy, everyone has something to offer. Your pinstriping skills are something many dont have. I sure dont. Same goes for body & paint...I'm ok with the metal, just not the rest.

hmmmm dangerous posting in here...lol

IT guy by profession, everything from basic computer work to advance network installs.

I have also been doing my own upholstery work, I started with bar stools and computer chairs (even some drapes for the kitchen!) then did the interior in my bucket. I am not a pro by any stretch but if you want a budget, recover job I would be willing to trade for some body/paint work (as long as you teach me stuff along the way)

I make vinyl stickers and signs, solid colors as I do not have a printer.

I can make anything wanted (almost) and I usually have white, black, orange, yellow, blue, red, pink and gray on hand.

Will trade vinyl work for cool stuff or money.

Hot Tubs!!! Service tech, Parts, Covers, Used Spas, Spa Pads, Custom built Gazebos and Spa Moving. I don't sell new spas but I can get honest deals through some of my retail customers. If you are in the market for a new or used spa please do not hesitate to give me a call/PM/email and I can walk you through what to look for and what to stay away from. Also if you are having problems with an existing spa I can offer tech support via phone or e-mail. I often get used trade-in spas that I go through, inspect and re-sell/trade/barter so if anyone is interested just let me know and perhaps we can work something out by barter or trade...or cash is always accepted. Regards Kurt

Kurt , I am in the process of taking my parents Hot tub over. It's about five years old and will need a few replacement jets. I understand I can change up some of the pattern options etc.. One corner has the stupid neck jets that spray all over the place and a couple of the mid body jets are missing their inserts. What do I need to know to buy these? Are the inserts universal as I've been led to believe? I'm up to supporting a fellow rodder...
Chris.

ok, i am in the belleville area. don't have any noticeable skills to trade but i have a truck and trailer with a 12,000 lb winch on it. flat tires no problem, its coming on the trailer. i have a truck that goes to toronto/hamilton area twice a week. what ever you put on it has to be wrapped up, i carry food products. i have a hoist and a shop full of tools. and, if its real local i have a backhoe.
presently nothing on the top of my head that i need or want but i could put it in the barter bank.

I guess come to think of it I have never really posted here. I come from a restoration family that started our shop in 1949, older brother still is at it there.. I am a Pinstriper , fabricator and have in the past turned wrenches in a mechanical shop. I have a cushy desk job steering a computer looking after crash rescue fire trucks and snow removal trucks at all the airports across Canada now. Home shop is pretty well set up will not do any completes or "quickly paintjobs" for anyone so please don't even ask.. That skill is for me and me alone anymore but minor fab and the occasional chop if you wish to have a glass guy look after the clear stuff.. I just don't want my home shop all tied up with some one else's projects so that my stuff has to sit outside anymore.. If I get a few more of my small lingering jobs out soon I will be finishing a very nice English wheel and will also make the odd repair panel for you if need be.
