how did he ever manage to win once in 4 years while having the best equipement in nascar.......................must be lady luck ..............now you got to wait another 4 years to see it happen again
I started really getting into NASCAR when Dodge got back into racing. Then a couple years later Toyota got into it !! I mean, really?? Toyota?? I thought Nascar was supposed to be a down and dirty "red neck " southern boy's sport? Toyotas belong where they came from, Japan !! Now I think there's only 2-3 Dodges left, so I don't bother watching anymore !
Don't know why Chevy held out for so long in doing that???? At least now the Nationwide series is running "mostly' what you can get in the showroom!!! Now the "CUP" has to "get with the program" & stop running 4 dr production cars 'chopped' up into a 2 dr. sedan that was "never" made!!!!!

they may do some changes you never know? ...................but the cup car as a longer wheelbase than nationwide .............so they would have to cheat the body just like there doing now.........would end up with a Camaro that looks like a 4 door car or 2 door and half or something
With the money he is making I say, suck it up buttercup ,lots of others just as good or better would love that ride.Too much whining in NASCAR lately and its not all coming from the transmissions.Seams like the racing in the 80s were the some of the best races, but then my problem is I am still a Petty fan. Ed
Starting to wonder if Chad & him have found a way to cheat & not get caught!!!!!Last restart Jimmie just pulled away from Brad K & the past restart Brad was the quicker????

I cheered, when J/J blew the right frt. tire & hit the wall!!!! Now we have a "Chase' that will be a "barn burner" similar to last yrs 2 man race, but Clint[15]I think, still has a slight chance????I've been "rooting " for ANYBODY but Johnson all yr. Pete

I'm hoping the kid wins too ....jumped out my chair , cheering , when 48 tried to knock down the wall ......then after the race , a hockey game broke out . Poor Jeffie , he never complains much when he takes somebody out , that's different . The funny thing was , he tried to take out the 15 several laps before but missed ! I hope they go at it in Homestead but probably NASCAR will give them a warning .
BK should have known better to pull out the cell phone while on the red flag!!! He was told NO PHONE IN THE CAR after Daytona episode of texting on that red flag & both times he had the ESPN camera in the car. DUH they can't see me doing this!! OH $hit forgot about the TV cam!!!!

Ok here's a question, who gets to cash the cheque each week or for the championship?? I thought the drivers were on a contract either for % or pay cheque. If JJ got the 8 million cheque, surely most of it goes to owner & crew bonus's, pay the bills, etc.

last year Dale jr made 35 little million .......over 5 millions in winning plus whatever he makes from sponsor and selling stuff tv commercial and on...........last year JJ 8 million was his winnings for the complete ..........last week Jeff Gordon won 117,000.thousands for is race less a 100,000 penalty .......he still made 17,000. to go for a lunch............that is why Gordon owns JJ car a racing team is only a cover up for expense tax deductible ........every driver is under different contract and get paid differently........want more it cost about 10 million a year to pay for crews equipement fuel motels and more and more to keep a racing team going for a year
next year if you get a car qualified for the Daytona .......and you make the start of the race and shut it off after a lap you ll make $38,000.00 and you can sit and watch the race the rest of the day
Still think they should "FINE" the START & PARK guys!!! If they can't afford to run the race then don't bother to qualify & let someone who can run the race "DO IT!!! Would be better for the sponcers of the little guy to get exposure running the whole race!!!!

I had to read it twice ARE you implying that some teams qualify and then purposly do not run all the laps??
YEP!! Even the "HUB" had a talk session on the guys that pull off after 1 or 2 laps & take the money for that posistion 39th to 43rd or wherever!!! Car doesn't get wrecked, save the D/Line for the next 5 or 6 races keep the cost down???
