Worked on installing the floor the last couple of days. Got the front section done and a pattern made for the rear part of the interior - I'm leaving the trunk area for last because it's crazy crowded there.

This is one great looking build. I can see why the early photos and drawing are such an inspiration. That front end is beautiful...do you mind if I ask what that piece set you back?

Got the trunk floor all done - it's sealed off from the interior completely now so I can install the fuel tank in the trunk - Made the ends for the '38 dash and added a couple of pieces to the front to make it straight across like the T is -

Another shot of the dash and steering column. I had purchased a new '40 Ford steering wheel but the car's just too narrow - I wouldn't have had room btween the wheel and the door panel for my hand so this blue metalflake one is now the wheel of choice. Anyone want to buy a nice 40 wheel with the optional horn button?

That little motor you see by the firewall lifts the former gas filler door which now becomes a cowl vent and master cylinder access. I'm looking for the chrome piece that fits in the dash if anyone knows of one - not the ashtray one but the other one.

Haven't made a lot of progress on my car lately, but I got my motor back from the rebuild shop and started dressing it up. I also shot some paint on some small parts including my dash and gas tank. Both came out great until I took my resperator off and knocked my hat into the freshly painted dash! Stuff happens right? I stuck some of the components in after I resanded just to see how it's gonna look and I like it!

Actually, that's not what I'm looking for. That's what I want to replace! The other piece has the cigar lighter and another hole for who knows what, but I could use two outlets for a GPS and a cell phone more than I need an ashtray.

It's a little more detailed than it looks Wayner. I can live with what I've got but if I can eliminate the ash tray I'd be a little happier. There's got to be a few of them out there.

It's a Moon Wheel - and they're available from Speedway. I was going to use a '40 Ford wheel but the diameter was just too big. I found a metalflake shift knob to match on EBAY. THose filters are from a shop called HI POWER SPEED in New York back in the early 50's. Hard to find these days.

Back working on the coupe again. My old back's been giving me a lot of trouble lately and it's slowed me down a lot. I need to get this thing done this summer so the body is off to be painted and I have the doors, decklid and grill shell back. Here's a few shots of that stuff and the chassis. It's going to the sandblaster next week to be blasted and epoxy coated then a little body work and paint and I can start assembly.
Many thanks to my good friends Lionel Caza and Al Rossi for the paint and stripes.

The body is painted and back on the frame. Working on exhaust now. I bought a bunch of 90 Degree tubing bends - not J bends or U bends like the mandrel bent ones you can buy but the type used in a lot of industrial applications - much nicer bends and they're the same diameter wherever you cut them unlike mandrel bends. I'll post some pics as I go.

Let me echo what brother Wayne said......it looks great Mike.......the "T for Two"....lives again......maybe she'll make the ELTA Fall Mixer in Sept????? ;)
I was hoping for September/early October (have a high school reunion in October) but I had to have a little surgery done this past Tuesday and it's slowing me down a little. All I've been able to do this week is make glass patterns and install the original gas filler door/now cowl vent. I'm searching for a length of old school window channel with the felt inside and the little stainless steel trim along the outside edges - anyone know where to get a piece of this stuff these days?
