I was in downtown Toronto Sunday, 19C Beautiful day, saw a 66 Vet a 69 Camaro and a 63 Impala Low Rider, and coming Home 1966 Chevy Shortbox coming down Hwy#115. I Love It!!!!!
Roads were still a little to salty for the Nova but I was able to get out for a few hours on the Harley (easier to wash) with some friends. Felt great after a long winter. Hoping we get some rain to wash away the salt and road gravel. More nice weather coming this week.

Thanks!!! Guess us "old Farts" just can't change!!! I love it it in the States, Fah. temp. & Mph on the hwy. Why OH why did we ever change????
I agree with you 110%, why did Canada ever change, it was said that all countries were going to, guess not, sorry the money was ever spent to do this for nothing, just more confusing to me.
Was not a fan of metric for many years...there are still a couple of things that I cant relate to.....Miles per gallon, I understand....this 15 lt/100km is beyond me...PSI is another
That said, the US is just about the only country that does not use the metric system.

Ironically metric (or SI as it is known) is their "official" measurement system. Just nobody bothered to actually use it!
I can use both systems but the l/100 km thing means nothing practical to me as you say plus metric has no foot equivalent which is bothersome often. At work we do all our cable measures in feet.

Remember back when the switch to metric was comming,, everything was going to be measured only in metric.
Ok,, Now that was what at least 30 friggen years ago, stuff is still half imperial, half metric, millions of dollars wasted on this stupidity, and ,,,, YUP!! Forced everyone to go buy another set of tools, ending up with two sets!!
My kids, all adults now, know nothing of the old imperial system, that's how they were taught in school. Once the last of the imperial generation dies there will be no more confusion.
I got really confused in August when I was in Michigan. On the ferry across the St. Clair River I switched the DTS to MPH thinking that was smart. I was driving the interstate trying to keep up with traffic and looking down seeing 100 thought nothing of it, that's normal, it took a few minutes driving 100 to realize I had switched to MPH
National Debt $200 Billion Repatriation of Constitution ( Canada ) Charter of Rights and Freedom ( Canada ) Bilingualism (but not in Quebec) Metric System introduction in Canada
my wifes a teacher and she say all the kids come in using inches an feet, so you know all that stuff is still used at home. i used to be a cook in the navy, it used to get confusing using different recipe books because for large quantities first if it was imperial was the book printed in the states because all of their large measurements are different than canada's ie gal/quarts/pints all different. if i keep a recipe for myself i usually convert it over to metric for vol and weight but i still measure distance in imperial.
oh i had the bike out and i bought summer tires for the tuner
