I'm not exactly sure but you may want to get them soda blasted. It may be worth a drive a little out of the way to make sure your fenders don't end up warped.
If it was some heavier parts, I have had a local memorial (tombstone) shop do some blasting for me. Seems alot of them will do some parts in the winter months as they get a little slow on gravestones. I had a set of rims done, cost me $10 a rim, also had an axle done a few years ago for my Jeep, cost me $25. Just a thought if you had some heavier stuff you needed blasted.
