The thread wont be removed or edited.....The issue of the health of the previous owner can be affirmed, denied or just forgotten about, and I am sure we will all go with that. The threads purpose is to concentrate on the cars.

I just reread this whole thread, and I don't see why anyone would take offence to mentioning that someone has a mental disability ?? I have friends as well as family members that battle with disorders, but it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's not the 50's where this type of disorder was not spoken about, this is 2013 !!
Pretty childish behavior for denying information to the original poster. How do we even know you're not just another internet Troll??

I find it quite sad and disappointing that both HemiKev and Poncho62 have refused to remove the posts containing mention of possible mental illness relating to a former owner of both the Road Runner and the Charger.

The issue of ones health does not bear any importance to the search for information on the cars themselves but has obviously greatly offended an apparent family member (and most likely members) of the former owner.

The decent thing to do would be to remove the offending content but apparently common decency is not really all that common anymore.

By offending the aforementioned party, you have just erased ANY possible access to a potentially HUGE source of information regarding those two cars (give yourself a huge pat on the back for that one genius).

Put yourselves in her shoes for a minute, how would you feel if the mention of mental illness (available to anyone on Gods green earth with access to a computer, regardless of whether or not the information is true) pertained to your family?

I have sent p m. s to person claiming to be eds girl. ...no response. I wasnt mean in them . i have about 5 pm s from this guy ( possible stalker ) there is no proof she if it is a she is related in anyway to ed..eds issues were never the question here...i like hemi 43 have relatives with them..i nor any 1 else on this form never put down a person with these issues....u have only msde 2 posts here on ont rodders. And poth on this thread. .which tells us ur related or carlover under a diff name..ive offered my phone number to u and lover. no response. .however if i were eds family i would want to clear up an issue like this. j m o. have a great day

I understand your opinion as far as why anyone would take offense to the mention of mental illnes. What I also understand is that Ed's daughter does not have that same opinion. She is clearly very upset over these allegations of her father having been stricken with mental illness. By not removing the content that Eds daughter finds very offensive (and that has nothing to do with the history of the cars), it seems highly unlikely that she or any other member of her family will have any interest in providing any stories or photos of the cars. Keep in mind, he owned both those cars for decades.

My post count, whether or not I am a family member or a friend, or whether or not I am an internet troll has no bearing on this at all. Someone (claiming to be Eds daughter) took the time to register on this site specifically to address the content regarding Eds mental state. It has clearly upset her and due to the fact that removal of the offensive content would not result in any loss of worthwhile information regarding the cars, I don't understand why something as simple as removing the content in is being denied.

As for HemiKevs comment of "however, if I were Eds family I would want to clear up an issue like this". What the hell does that even mean? Are you suggesting Eds family needs to either confirm or deny any alleged illness with YOU (possibly with medical documents) one way or the other before you would even think of removing the content? Why the F__k should ANYONE have to contact you by phone (or by any other means) to discuss Eds health? Good God man, I just don't understand you at all. YOUR comments regarding Eds health HAS pissed off his family, you are doing NOTHING to fix the issue, why the F___k would ANYONE be interested in helping with your search?

You know what IS interesting mr HemiKev, you are correct in that I could very well be a family member or a friend of the family. In order to remove any mention of Eds health problems, all of Carlovers and RIAG's posts would have to be totally removed also....It would make the whole thread unreadable.....

Besides, it was mentioned early on in the thread that the issues were basically just a rumour that Kev had heard from a 3rd party.......

If Carlover wants me to delete the whole thread and she can contact Kev with info about the cars, she can do that....let me know

I find that one of the biggest problems with any forum is that some people do not read ALL of the comments. By skipping all that is available, you only get part of the conversion.

PS: last company I worked at had an unwritten policy, if you havn't heard a new rumour by noon, then start one!!!

Just my opinion, but "IF" we could get the info on Ed and his cars etc, i could care less if the whole topic was removed here, and a new one started.

In fact i think really the topic should be removed and start this over "JUST" as a topic concerning Ed's cars and the history of them. There "Has to be a great Story here" that many or ALL of us would enjoy reading.

I only ever saw the "Ground Pounder" once, but would love to hear the story about it.

How do we know girl was actually eds girl, reverse Was right ,she didn't have to p m me or call me. ,but intention wasn't to smear Eds name, But to atleast a little proof she has anything to do with Ed. Or the Runner....I can say this though, if my dad had a car like the runner, and lost it in the way mentioned, and if story wasn't true, ,I would like to clear up the confusion and my dad's name,
I did leave a decent p m, was not negative...
As for reverse is a gear, he's very close to this thread for whatever reason, but bottomless is he said he didn't know ed or his family. So to me his opinions mean squat to me or this thread...

My offer still stands to Carlover.. This thread wasn't started to smear ur dad's name, and I'm sure there's a ****load. Of people who would have killed to be able to experience what your Dad was able to in the hey day of the muscle car wars..These cars were never meant to be collectors cars items and yet your dad and the Ground Pounder were etched in alot of people memories.

But you gotta kind of wondering how in the world, some 1 could walk away or loose a 68 hemi runner,66hemi charger,hemi datson,70 optioned out Cuda 340 pistol grip, Plus a slew or hemi and rare Mopar muscle parts.. Just saying here..

I could tell you Dave Scott was Elvis s. Love child, but I'm sure you would want some kind of proof aside from the fact they look so much alike.
