This Saturday is the Orangeville Autofest... it's the second year for the event. I didn't make it last year but was thinking of going this year... Anyone else going to this event?? The weather is supposed to be good... I think its $10 pre-register or $15 at the gate per vehicle. Might be a fun day out, and good chance to cruise in the truck!!
I had requested an inside display location and they did find me a spot. It was great until the auction started at 2.00 PM. This was a huge distraction for the vendors. The spectators not interested in the auction just went home as did most of the outside car show cars. The vendors both inside and out did the same. By 3.00 PM it was over except for the auction.
Up until the auction, it was a good show. The Lions Club received a great number of complaints. I did receive a note from the show chairman saying there will be NO auction at next years show.
My plans were to write this show off, but without the auction next year, I will return.
Too bad the auction kinda ruined it... glad I didn't make the long drive to only be there a couple hours then... I will try to make it next year, hope it will be better without the auction. Thanks for your take on the show!
