This year the Great Race is traveling around the great lake and one of their overnight stops is in Sudbury Ontario. This was yesterday according to this HAMB thread
I remembered and got out of bed Sunday morning at 6:45am. Ya, I am a little crazy but these guys in the Great Race are hard core. Sunday morning was brutal for weather and these guys in the open cars were fighting it out. I envied them. One guy was driving a 32 with no doors. I guess he didn't have time to hang the doors and said the hell with it and drove the car anyway. If you go to my face book page you can see the pic I posted on the Great Race 2012 site. Facebook page for Michael Oknianski. The guy is driving the car with his son or grandson as his co-pilot. Awesome. Saw the Coker 32 pickup go by and The big Guy himself Corky Coker in his 1940 rig. Awesome to see them come through here.

We caught this bunch in Barrie on Monday June 25th. Beautiful cars and trucks. Corey Coker is quite an entertainer. Last time we were able to attend The Great Race was 1996. Portland Oregon to Toronto, ended in Yorkville. It was an overcast day. We drove T bucket that day. Rain profusely on the way home. "What happens if it rains and you are driving your T Bucket?" "You get wet, very wet!". Still both times the Great Race lived up to it's name. Enjoyed both times. Take it in if you get the chance.
the Kid.

For those that read the Old Autos, July 16, there is a pic at the top of page 19A with Bernice and I sitting behind our wagon watching the cars come in.
