Yes, there is that. It would be pretty damn bone-rattling if I drove it like this....

So far the engine vitals are looking ok, so I'm feeling good about that.

According to the numbers, engine is Lincoln 1971-1973.

Super clean and well-oiled inside every orifice I can open up without immediately needing new gaskets.

Whoever put this engine away did so with some care and an obvious intention to make it run again in future.

No doubt about the front end dualquadpete, but right now I am only focusing on the engine. All other stuff is going to have to wait until next year. That's just the way the previous builder mocked it up so that it would sit on wheels.

A little more hesitation on the upper revs, but it hasnt been tuned in years. I'll fix that when I get it out in spring again. Time this year has caught up with me.

Found the source of the white smoke. The tubing for PCV valve doesn't reach so as RPMs go up, more back gases get released.

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with frontend yet; That kind of work isnt really my forte. I have some ideas from a car my dad is currently building, but I dunno.

Your idea does sound like an interesting method though. No matter what, I want the suspension to be uncomplicated. This is never going to be a car driven into the city; Actual 'comfort' is kinda out of the question.
