hey guys, it's getting closer and closer to this years' epic Hartman's/E.L.T.A. bash. I know a bunch of people who are really looking forward to the party and a few "Rookies" coming in for their first time. So to get the juices flowing check this out. Come on down for a GREAT time
Haven't missed one of these and don't plan on missing this one either. I'm bringing a bunch with me for sure.
For anyone who has not heard of this, its never advertized. It is the BEST grass-roots event you'll EVER go to in the area, maybe the province or even the Country.
Rockabilly bands, cars of every description, bbq, greasers of all ages. It defies any car show or cruise night. Starts mid-afternoon and goes till at least midnight.
We're heading out from the Horton's on King George Street in Brantford (next to the new A&W) around 1 if anyone in the area wants to follow down to London together.
BE THERE!!
Directions...from the 401 in London, head north up Highbury to Dundas Street, go west about 3 blocks. Its behind the Kellogg's plant. If you miss it you best stop drinking and driving cause its no small event.

Dad and I are going to Bothwell on the Saturday morning and then Hartman's by 3:00. I guess I am one of the Rookies Chris. Never thought I would be considered a "Rookie" at a Party! lol Really looking forward to it!

Beside, in front of, behind...tomato...tomatto...cut me some slack Wayne...I just know how to get there. I would hope anyone going would drive around the plant until they saw a car or two...hundred!
See you there brother! I think I even owe you a beer if I recall correctly?

nope--did not go too well last night. It fired and it's loud but we're having some fuel delivery issues with the Kinsler injection. I don't think we'll be able to get it straightened out in time for the weekend.

not gonna make it Dave--we'll be removing a snakepit of fuel lines and bypasses and doing a leakdown on all of it. We want to be ready to race at Empire next weekend.
Good Times ..Good Times!!-the only thing I regret is washing my car before I left home-Got a little wet(well actually soaking wet) but good turnout and the rain held off for a while to get the music going. Lots of great cars and great folks out to the bash.

WOOOOOWWWW you got that right Chris, what a gathering that was. Except for the @#&* weather, it was a great day.
Cruised over to London with a dozen or so brothers from the Brantford Piston Pushers, met some new friends there, toured the ELTA clubhouse, several "exhibitions" from the Fueler cars, great crackle fest too. (my ears are still ringing) Thanks to the Hartman family & the ELTA gang for throwing down one of the best events you could hope for. The countdown is on for next year.

Great event, not to be missed even in crazy weather. The highlight for me was spending some time with Scott Wilson. He was "the" man in fuel dragsters in Canada in the 60's & early 70's. First Canadian run 200 mph & first ever to run 235 mph. Google him you'll be impressed. O yeh Mark [Fast Elvis] was like a giddy school girl on her first date however its his enthusiasm that takes this event to the level it is. Thanks to all that contribute.
Well, another Hartman's/ E.L.T.A. Saturdy night special has been put in the history books. We had folks from Sudbury to N.Y. state, from Windsor to Niagara and pretty much everywhere in between. The crowd wasn't as big as years past...we can thank the crazy weather for that, put the atmosphere was absolutely great. There were a number of racing celebrities on hand, and a surprise visit from a certain Bob Dixon with his 57 Ford B/G car from back in the day, sporting it's original SOHC Ford cammer motor. Even the rain could't stop the bands on stage or the chatter between new and old friends. I told you guys it was a great time ....well maybe next year Huh?
These are from a friend of ours Darwin Kent. Enjoy
Great time with great people, what more can you say. although the weather left a bit to be desired lots of cars took the time to set up and display. Thanks to all who made a great evening.
Thanks to all who made the trek even in rain..was a great time.On behalf of Hartmans/ELTA brothers, once again glad everyone who came had fun, thanks for the support...and we're already planning next big thing..that'll be a tale for another day!!Mike Roi,ELTA..
Whooweee that was a great night. Mike, you and the boys and especially the Boy-Wonder (Mark) surely did it again. Thanks for all your efforts. I'm sure you guys slept well that night after all the running around you did. What a turn out especially considering the rain. In fact, the rain added a certain character to the night. Glad we were there. That 57 Ford stole the show for me. Man, what a well done ride. Anyone that has never been to this event has no idea what they've been missing.

Hey Scott, cruisin with you was a hoot (minus the coil wire incident at the side of the 401). That car of yours looks wicked from all angles, rooster tails and all!!!
