tire/wheel question

I would like to change some rear tires from a 26" OD tire to a 30" OD tire. I running a 350 tranny and a 9" ford rear end. Other than confusing the speedo, are there any reasons why this might not be a good idea. fenders are not an issue.

Thanks

Along with the speedo error the height will have some effect on the final drive ratio, it reduces the rear end gear ratio approx 10-15 %..so if you running say a 3.25 rear gear it would perform like your running a 2.73 ( give or take)....

do you think that would cause any stress on the tranny that it couldn't handle? Or  cause any shifting problems.

No it wont hurt anything unless your trying to win a race!!!!

You will probably notice a rpm drop at hwy crusing speeds (minimal)

knowing what gear ratio you have would help. If you already have 2.73s , putting those wheels on will really make the vehicle a dog off the line.
