Im a licensed mechanic/ chassis builder living in Milton, ON. Living the dream, as they say!
I am currently working on a 1966 Nova 4 door (which I need to sell since moving into a new house and having to pay higher bills than I expected!). It has a 250 inline six with a 194 head and highly ported intake. 200R4. I have just replaced both floors and inner rockers (rockers were overkilled with 14ga.) I am replacing the forward leaf spring pockets as well as the springs, shackles and the likes. New front sway bar. New under engine frame support. I have new bumper brackets and trunk floor patch panels, too. The car is not FANTASTIC, but it runs and drives quite nice! Hurts me to have to pass it along! The way I look at 'posessions' is that they don't really belong to me, I am more of a caretaker until it goes to someone else! Hopefully I can move it along in better condition than I got it in!
66 Nova was my first car as a kid. Had a 194 in it. I never changed the oil, just kept adding to it lol. The engine lasted longer than the rest of it. I actually drove it to the wrecking yard.
welcome aboard. I like your take on the "ownership" of the car. Bummer to sell it but your stance on it makes it easier. Sounds like you got the talent to build another when the time comes. Sucks when the real world gets in the way of enjoying the hobby, eh?

Welcome dodgy canuck, glad to have you here, sorry to hear you have to see your Nova but i am sure something else will come along at the right time. I bet you get to see and work on some pretty neat rides being a chassis builder, hope you might be able to share some of these and maybe some pictures at work, again welcome.
