Customer owns this 47 Merc, he bought it as a stalled project years ago.  He had a hard time finding someone to take it on at the time, most places didn't want a long term job like this one. Ended up in this shop 6 years or so ago. I started here a year and a half ago and have had a hand in it since then. It's just about ready to head out the door in a couple more weeks. We had a 48 Chevy 3/4 ton pick up leave 3 weeks ago with a full restore. Owner showed it at a local show for the first time and took home a trophy, he felt good, we felt good...yea team. Shop guys were happy for him. Would like to see a repeat for this one...Randy the owner has put a lot of sweat, tears and bucks in it, it would be nice if he gets a bit of recognition for his efforts. Yeah I know, it's not about trophies...but it's still nice when somebody else realizes the work involved. The dark green 48 Merc behind the Edsel is a full front to back restore as well. The customer is doing most of the work himself, I haven't had a lot to do on this one. She's going to be a beauty when done, shoot, the detailed work is pretty nice now. The 58 Edsel is going to be the next project I'll be on. The owner was in today and mentioned he's going to retired in a year. So...the push is on to have it ready for him. I don't have time for my own projects, but at least I'm working on somebodys.biggrin

No...Wyoming ON. I just work there. Been here for a year and a half now. Ron the owner has been here for 40 years and just had his 75th birthday. We're just a bunch of old retired farts that work 3 days a week. Customers can help out on their own vehicles doing what they can, and/or we can do the whole works, what ever they prefer. We do small jobs as well like hoods, doors, trunk lids etc. and then customers take them home to work on their projects on their own. The red Merc has had a lot done on it by the owner, what he didn't know, but was willing to learn, we taught him and showed him how. Then turned him loose. (This works out most of the time.biggrin) I'm a licenced 'A' mechanic so I do a lot of the assembly work, plumbing, wiring, welding and fabricating. As well as the fun stuff like sanding...and more sanding, and wet sanding, then colour sanding and polishing and buffing. Did I mention sanding?  We have fun, work steady, not hard, and try our best to turn out stuff we can be proud of. So...if you happen to cruising the main drag of Wyoming ON, look for us, and the sign that says what we're working on. Drop in and say Hi. We have lots of people that do.
